Northern Nevada continues to be particularly well-positioned for growth, development, and diversification. When the Davidsons were seeking the best location to start a school for profoundly gifted students, they were inspired by the “can-do” nature of the business and education climate in Nevada.

Being located on the University of Nevada, Reno campus is invaluable to the overall mission of the Academy, which focuses on providing profoundly gifted young people an advanced educational opportunity matched to their abilities, strengths and interests. We are thrilled that the Academy attracts local students, as well as students and their families who have moved from other areas of the country in order to access the Academy. Many families who have come to Northern Nevada for the Academy continue to work and play here well after their students have graduated. We see it as a notable win-win for the community!

Once students are accepted to the Davidson Academy campus, their families become a part of a vibrant community sharing resources such as real estate agents, doctors, businesses and more! The shared experiences of our parent community throughout the past 15+ years has led to a wealth of information in which new Davidson Academy parents gain access.
