Davidson Academy Student Katarina Costa just released her first book, Math QRH.
Katarina is quick to point out, “This is not a textbook. This is a resource, a tool for anyone in mathematics and science.” Katarina has always been skilled at taking good class notes. She organized her notes into a concise format with the mission to help other people succeed in mathematics.
“Math is my passion, and considering the challenge of finding a publisher,” Katarina continues, “I worked too hard to put this book together, so I decided to publish the book myself!”
The “QRH” in Math QRH stands for “Quick Reference Handbook”. A QRH is used by pilots for mission-critical decisions, without the burden of doing things solely from memory. Katarina wanted to share a tool with others like her. “I refer to my class notes all the time, but when I was tutoring math students, they often did not have a good set of notes to work from, so I hope that what I have developed will be useful to people like them!”
Math QRH is cost-effective, since it covers five different mathematics courses, Algebra II, Precalculus, Calculus I, II and III, so you can reference previous material any time.
