Davidson Academy Student Named STEM Champion

Davidson Academy student Jordan Chong was named a National STEM Champion by EXPLR.

Jordan was named a STEM Champion for his submitted video demonstrating how to detect PFAS chemicals in tap water. PFAS, or polyfluoroalkyl substances, are forever chemicals humans have difficulty breaking down. These chemicals are then stored in the human body and can lead to many health issues.

Jordan will travel to Washington D.C. to join the 105 other STEM Champions and attend the 2025 National STEM Festival. He will present his project to industry leaders and scientists.
