Davidson Academy alumni Paul Novak was named in the Washington Post’s 23 for ’23: Composers and performers to watch this year. Paul is acclaimed for his “impressive range and restless energy” in his collection of “lithe, elastic vocal pieces…vibrant orchestral works…and evocative études for string quartet.” Paul has many pieces premiering in the upcoming months including an art song commission with Lynbx Projects Amplify Series where composers are partnered with primarily nonspeaking autistic poets.
